Classes are back!
This year we are offering opportunities for you to expand your knowledge and learn a new skill.
While we are still confirming some dates before we can post our class schedule, here's a sneak peek at what's coming.
We have had a lot of people asking if "From Barn to Yarn" was coming back. Of course! This is a full-day hands-on workshop that takes spinners on the journey alpaca fibre takes from the animal to finished yarn.
"Yarn Design" - let your creative side out as delve into various fibres, their properties, and how to combine them to create one-of-a-kind yarns
"Natural Dyeing 101" - we'll explore the fun, and sometimes messy world of dyeing with plants, kitchen scraps, and bugs (yep, you read that right!). Safety, growing plants, and how to collect dye materials in nature will also be part of this full day of colour
"Build Yourself a Spindle and Learn to Spin" - you've always wanted to try spinning, but a wheel is a big commitment? No worries. In this half-day session, you will build a drop spindle using recycled materials. After the spindle is assembled, you'll learn the basics of spindle spinning. This is an ancient way of creating yarn that is still widely used today.
